Objective
Understand Project Management as one dimension of an engineering problem solving strategy. Analyze the main components of project planning and control. Get familiar with models and methods of project management. Under-stand processes of project-teams.
Content
Principles of systems theory used in management. Project life cycle models. Project organization. Project planning (project structure, project scheduling, resources, cost). Procurement processes (focus on public procurement, GATT rules). Project Controlling (time, cost, outcomes, quality). Tools and aids used in project management (incl. Software tools). Teamwork (communication, motivation, conflicts). Case studies.
