Objective

Understandig the significance of wood and wood based construction materials within the present environmental problematics and interpretation of arguments for an increased wood production and wood utilisation with regard to ecology. This objective shall be attained by means of various excursions to forestry- relevant and ecological enter-prises in Switzerland.

Visits to selected enterprises: - Kronospan AG (Spanplatten, MDF) - Pavatex AG (Faserplatten) - Lammello AG (Eckverbindungen, Maschinen) - Cellulose Attisholz (Zellstoff) - EMPA, Abteilung Holz (Forschung, Materialprüfung)
