Abstract

The course "Introduction in FEM programs" familiarizes the students with performing of simple structural analyses with the finite-element method.

Objective

Becoming familiar with using modern finite-element programs. To learn how to perform linear structural analyses of complex parts designed with CAD. To learn to critically assess the results which are presented by colourful plots.

Course material: the material bases on that of the firm CADFEM Switzerland and are complemented according to our needs. Further theory is provided in the course material of "Structural Anaylsis with FEM".
