To understand and explain the reasoning behind the principal business processes and their market interactions. Implementation of fundamental strategic and operative planning processes under market-oriented and resource-oriented aspects.

Objective

Einführung in wesentliche baubetriebswirtschaftliche Aspekte der Projektabwicklung und Unternehmung. Vermittlung von Grundkenntnissen über die Wirkungsweise von Bauunternehmen und die Gesamtführung in Bezug auf Organisation, operative und strategische Elemente.

- Overview of the Swiss construction market: Customers, construction industry, structure, associations and their tasks, problems, distinctions between the Swiss and EU markets - Strategic management of construction companies: Strategic planning, marketing, new business fields and types of project delivery, offering life cycle services, cooperation and outsourcing, comparative success and competitive factors - Operative management of construction companies: Elements of successful bidding strategies and production and risk management - Organization of building sites and construction companies - Cyberfirm – Corporate planning simulation: Application of strategic and operative corporate management in a virtual market
