Abstract
The aim is to convey psychological principles necessary for working with risks and to show the consequences for the formation of work. From a psychological point of view questions of coping with the attendant risks are considered. Individual topics include risk perception and communication, Human error and reliability, decision processes etc.
Objective
To convey the psychological principles necessary for working with technical risks; to show the consequences for the formation of work systems.
Content
In view of the increasing complexity of technical equipment and processes, a discussion of the level of control over the consequencces of technological developments has been initiated. From a psychological point of view - in par-ticular regarding work and organisational psychology - questions of coping with the attendant risks are considered. Individual topics include risk perception and communication, errors of behaviour and human reliability, individual and collective decision processes in complex systems and measures furthering the safety of people, the organisa-tion and technology in industrial companies.
