Abstract
The course provides an introduction into areas of ecology-economy conflicts in developing countries. Conflicting uses of environment goods and natural resources are analysed theoretically and discussed in the context of case studies, and possible policy solutions are presented and discussed.
Objective
Zusammenhang herstellen zwischen ökonomischen, agronomischen und siedlungsbezogenen Aspekten in ländlichen und urbanen Gebieten der Entwicklungsländer.
Content
1. Wirtschaftliche Aspekte: Ökonomische Differenzierung nach Entwicklungsindikatoren; Umfang, Inhalte, Instrumente und Kanäle der Entwicklungszusammenarbeit; Ressourcenübernutzung im Kontext der Beziehung der Entwicklungs- zu den Industrieländern; Aspekte der Umweltpolitik. 2. Ernährung und Landwirtschaft: Versorgungslage einzelner Länder; deren Integration in den internationalen Agrarhandel; Nord-Südproblematik; Agrarsysteme in verschiedenen Entwicklungsländern; Fallstudien zu einzelnen Ländern; Bodenreformen in Asien und Lateinamerika.
