Abstract

Introduction into the basic methods to understand the natural dynamics of aquatic systems (block course).

Objective

This block course makes attempt to integrate the disciplinary and often 'isolated' knowledge to analysis water bodies and their natural dynamics in terms of an overall systems analysis. The aim is to understand a. water bodies as environmental entity, and b. the coupling of aquatic systems with the environment in qualitative and quantitative terms.

Content

To apply the so far gathered disciplinary knowledge in chemistry and system analysis to understand in basic terms how aquatic systems function.
