Abstract
Identification and description of important sedimentary, magmatic and metamorphic rocks. Connection to formation processes and conditions. Learning about the geological understanding of time. Learning to visualize geological observations in the notebook.

Beschreiben und Verstehen sedimentärer, magmatischer und metamorpher Gesteine.
Content
5 Tage im Feld in sedimentären und kristallinen Einheiten. Erkennen und Beschreiben von Sedimentgesteinen (Karbonate, Pelite, Sandsteine, Brekzien und Konglomerate) und deren grundsätzliche Klassifikationen; Bedeutung von Fossilien; chemische, biologische und physikalische Prozesse, welche bei der Bildung der Sedimente wirken; geologische Zeit und Raten der Sedimentbildung; sedimentäre, metamorphe und magmatische Fazies; Interpretation von Mineralparagenesen; Anwendungen des Faziesbegriffs.
