Diese Lerneinheit kann nur zusammen mit einem Research Project (402-0218-MS) belegt werden. Für die Optionen Proseminare, Particle Physics at PSI, Medical Physics und Experimental Foundations of Particle Physics ist diese Erweiterung nicht möglich. Die Erweiterung ist nur mit Zustimmung der betreuenden Professur belegbar. Die Erweiterung muss gleichzeitig mit dem Research Project belegt werden.

Extension of the Reseach Project
Objective
Students are enabled to: • expand their knowledge in a specific area of physics, • conduct a project (a) in a research laboratory or (b) on a specific topic of theoretical physics, • discuss their project results and conclusions in a team, • present their findings in written and oral form. The extension allows for a more in-depth research experience.
