Abstract

The course introduces methods and tools for the management of space projects. It covers project planning, cost and schedule management, risk and quality management, procurement, and project control. Students apply these methods in case studies and a space mission simulation.

Objective

Students are able to: • Explain the principles and lifecycle of space project management • Define mission objectives, requirements, and project structures • Plan and control cost, schedule, and resources • Apply methods for risk, quality, and change management • Evaluate project performance using quantitative management techniques

Content

• Introduction and fundamentals of project management • Mission objectives, requirements, project organization and phases • Cost estimation methods, budgeting, scheduling, and resource planning • Project monitoring and control, including Earned Value Analysis • Change, claim, and procurement management in space projects • Risk management processes and quality assurance methods • Project communication, stakeholder management, and configuration control • Project closeout, performance evaluation, and lessons learned
