Abstract

Korean I corresponds to level A1.1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The course aims to introduce students to modern Korean everyday language (polite form) and Korean writing, with a focus on oral fluency and grammatical structures.

Objective

Participants are able to use Korean adequately in selected areas. The focus is on oral language skills at level A1.1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. They learn to read and write the Korean Hangeul alphabet, acquire basic knowledge of key grammatical structures and expand their basic vocabulary. The aim is to be able to communicate appropriately in simple everyday situations. In addition, the course addresses cultural themes to promote intercultural competence. The course covers topics such as greetings and introductions as well as conversations about everyday life, leisure and typical everyday situations, such as in a restaurant or at the market.
