Abstract

The seminar deals with the ethical foundations of scientific work in the field of architecture. Discussed will be that ethics means on a theoretical level. On the one hand, we are concerned with a writing practice that takes responsibility for the content of our text. On the other hand, we ask what is meant by scientific thinking in the field of architecture.

Objective

The aim is to make aware of what ethics fundamentally means in the humanities sense. The difference between the historical text and the theoretical text is highlighted. In addition, opportunities for creative thinking and critical thinking in academic writing are shown. Overall, the aim is to teach methods for independent scientific work that is based on integrity and work ethics.
