Abstract

The goal of this seminar is for students to learn about different aspects and use cases of representation learning, as well as to gain experience in reading, presenting, and critically discussing research articles.

The goal of this seminar is for students to learn about different aspects and use cases of representation learning, as well as to gain experience in reading, presenting, and critically discussing research articles.

Content

Topics that we will touch upon include deep learning, autoencoders, disentanglement, independent component analysis (ICA), identifiability, contrastive and self-supervised learning, causality, and applications in computational biology.
