Abstract
The moment map is a crucial tool in symplectic geometry and hamiltonian mechanics in the presence of (continuous) symmetries.This course will discuss geometric aspects of moment maps, with a focus on, but not restricted to, abelian convexity and symplectic toric manifolds.
