Passing grade will requireindependent study of a recent research-level publication in numerical analysis,which is assigned at two preparatory meetings during the 1st and 2nd week ofteaching term,andpreparation of a 45min. oral presentation of(i) main mathematical results,(ii) elaboration of proofs and key mathematical arguments in front of seminar audience,(iii) answering questions on/ discussing with audience key mathematical aspects of the publication,(iv) hand-in of a typewritten (preferably LaTeX) paraphrasing of the publication, which is subject to marking.
