Content

The course is mainly aimed at project staff, junior project managers and junior scrum masters. Project management or project manager experience is not required. However, it is advantageous for participants to have minimal project work experience to be able to apply the knowledge in an ongoing project during the course. However, more experienced project staff who have not yet received a systematic introduction into project management are also addressed. The course covers the three sequences of a project. The project preparation with setup and planning, the execution with controlling and steering and finally the project closure with lessons learned. For the preparation the course covers the following topics: - Definition and basics of projects and project management - Principles of agile, classic and hybrid project management - Setup for a hybrid project - System analysis and project boundaries - Stakeholder management with communication in projects - Project Charter with project goals - Creativity techniques for problem solving, structuring the project including estimation techniques - Project scheduling, resource and cost planning - Analysis and management of risks In the execution sequence the following topics are covered: - Diagnosis and steering - Teamwork and Leadership in projects - Quality and change management in projects - Project documentation, instruction and training Project closure - Implementation of lessons learned - Project end Additionally we will have a closer look into a toolbox with tips and useful tools in project management. The sequences are first explained with theory and then supplemented with examples and experiences. Subsequently, several sequences will be implemented in groups by means of a participants project example. Additionally some sequences are brought to life with playful elements. So if you want to realize a consistent planning for your project, independent from the project methodology, you will find a systematic instruction in this course.
