Abstract

Educational technology is reshaping how knowledge is shared, making it more accessible and meaningful for learners across diverse contexts. Designing effective educational tools requires an understanding of both how learning happens and how technology can best support it.

Objective

The objective of this course is to equip students with the knowledge and skills from theory to practice to design and evaluate educational technologies.

Content

This is a project-based course with weekly sessions that include a two-hours lecture on core topics, followed by a one-hour exercise session where students present their project progress and receive feedback from the instructional team. Each lecture includes one hour on foundational theory and one hour discussing a relevant research case study. In addition to the class meetings, students are expected to dedicate at least two additional hours per week working with their teammates on their projects.
