Abstract

This laboratory applies main transport planning methods based on mobility behavior and land use data. Students learn the four steps of a travel demand model based on real-world data, and run their case studies. Furthermore, students learn to propose and evaluate scenarios for transport and land use infrastructure development.

Objective

- Methods for analyzing and solving transport planning problems - Dependencies between transport planning and land use - Understanding and development of transport models for solving planning tasks - Bottleneck evaluation in transport networks - Scenario development and evaluation - Model plausibility analysis and calibration
