Abstract

The course teaches the fundamentals and techniques of single-molecule biophysics - covering optical and electrical detection methods, instrumentation, and data analysis - while giving students hands-on experience in building experiments, acquiring signals, and processing quantitative data.

Objective

- Understand the key physical principles and experimental constraints of single-molecule sensing. - Gain practical skills in instrumentation, data acquisition, and analysis for single-molecule experiments. - Be able to critically review and discuss published articles in the field.
