Future-ready Construction and Infrastructure

Abstract
The course provides tools and methods to optimize the design of infrastructure and construction so to ensure that these provide an adequate level of service under uncertain future conditions.
Objective
1) Familiarize with the concept of future-proof design 2) Learn to rigorously and orthogonally measure the service provided by an infrastructure 3) Learn to evaluate resilience of construction and infrastructure to ensure that the extra cost invested in resiliency are justified by the risk saved in the phase of operation and management 4) Learn to evaluate flexibility of construction and infrastructure to ensure that the extra cost invested in flexibility are justified by the risk saved in the phase of operation and management 5) Work in collaborative team projects
