Abstract

Introduction to the differential and integral calculus in one real variable: fundaments of mathematical thinking, numbers, sequences, basic point set topology, continuity, differentiable functions, ordinary differential equations, Riemann integration.

Objective

The ability to work with the basics of calculus in a mathematically rigorous way.

Als Hilfsmittel zur Prüfung ist nur eine vom Dozenten zur Verfügung gestellte Formelsammlung erlaubt.
Im Laufe des Semesters werden durch Vorträge und Schnellübungen Punkte in den Übungen gesammelt, was mit bis zu 0.25 (ungerundet) Notenpunkten als Notenbonus zur (ungerundeten) Note der Endprüfung addiert wird. Die Details zu diesem Bonus werden auf der Vorlesungswebseite geregelt.

Groups are selected in myStudies. Übungen Fr 8-10 (Studiengänge Mathematik bzw. Physik) oder Fr 14-16 (für die übrigen Studiengänge oder bei genügend freien Plätzen als Ausweichtermin für Mathematik bzw. Physik). ACHTUNG: Für den 28. November und 5. Dezember werden für die Übungen am Freitagnachmittag 14-16 Ersatztermine am Donnerstagnachmittag 16-18 reserviert [Raumbuchungen sind noch zu erstellen].
