Abstract

Organizational Behavior (OB) concerns the study of individual and group-level processes in organizations. This PhD course provides an overview of current discussions and research insights.

Objective

By the end of the course, students will: - Gain an overview of current topics in OB research. - Develop an updated understanding of and engage in discussions on selected OB research streams. - Enhance your understanding of your own work through OB research insights. - Build a network of peers for idea-sharing and constructive feedback.

Content

This PhD course introduces key theories and contemporary research in Organizational Behavior (OB). OB examines individual and group-level processes in organizations, with a focus on how they shape workplace interactions and outcomes. With the rise of new technologies across sectors like construction, infrastructure, and healthcare, the management of human-technology interaction has become a critical aspect of OB. In this course, we examine emerging and influential topics that redefine OB in such contemporary work environments. Through critical discussions, we analyze major concepts and research insights, encouraging participants to connect these ideas to managerial behavior. Topics related to methodological issues and research design can also be discussed depending on the interest of the class.
