How to Write Scientific Texts

Abstract
This four-hour course covers the basics of writing and presenting scientific work. The focus lies on the structure and the main elements of a scientific text. Formatting guidelines, citation rules, good practice of scientific writing and hints to convince the audience are part of the course.
Objective
- You can write scientific texts using the correct structure. - You can convincingly present scientific work. - You can differentiate the scientific style from novels and news. - You can adhere to citation rules and scientific integrity.
Content
The block course covers the following topics: - Structure of Scientific Texts - Structure of Scientific Presentations - Formatting of Scientific Elements - Citation Rules and Scientific Integrity The lecture will be given in two parts on two afternoons. Some exercises will be built into the lecture.

Bachelor-Projekt (Die Bachelor-Arbeit bildet den Abschluss des Bachelorstudiengangs und sollte daher erst in dem Semester belegt werden, in dem das Bachelor-Diplom erworben wird. MIndestvoraussetzung für die Belegung ist das erfolgreiche Bestehen von: - Basisprüfung (Prüfungsblöcke A+B) und - Grundlagenfächer des zweiten Studienjahres (Prüfungsblöcke 1-3))
