Last Updated: 2026-06-01 11:30:45

Abstract

This module explores the external influence on R&D in a competitive environment, and summarizes the course

Objective

The goal of this module is to explore R&D activities outside the organization, securing its long-term success

Content

Successful innovation relies on a complete ecosystem of contributors. Cooperating with external partners can accelerate the innovation process. Key factors such as securing the resulting intellectual property and effectively managing standardization also play a significant role and are addressed as well. Supporting the long-term success of the enterprise includes environmental considerations as defined in sustainability initiatives (environment, society, governance) that impact innovation and R&D. This is discussed alongside ethical challenges in innovation. This module will conclude the CAS and contextualize the material within the organization’s environment.
