Understanding of the basic principles of diastereoselective synthesis
Content
Conformational analysis: acyclic and cyclic systems; Diastereoselective sigmatropic rearrangements; Diastereoselective Carbonyl addition reactions: Cram- and Felkin-Anh models, carbonyl Lewis acid interactions, chelate controlled reactions; chemistry of enolates, selective formation; asymmetic enolate alkylation; aldol reactions, allyl- and crotyl-metal chemistry; cyclisations, Baldwin rules; Diastereoselective olefin functionalization: hydroboration, dihydroxylation, epoxidation.
