Abstract

This course is designed to lay down the foundation of the different concepts, techniques, and tools for successful project management of construction projects.

Objective

The goal is that by the end of this course, students should have an overview of the various project management knowledge areas, the role of a project manager, and the various tools relevant to project management. The course is supported by several external lecturers from the construction industry and demonstrations of real-life case studies.

Content

The main content of the course is summarized in the following topics: -Introduction, project and organization structures -Resource management -Project scheduling -Project estimating and budgeting -Risk management -Project contracting and controlling -Lean and IPD -BIM and data management -Industrialized construction -Sustainability management -Interpersonal skills and leadership
