Abstract

This module focuses on the final preparation of the Master design thesis and the popular science article, accompanied by individual Quest mentoring from programme experts and the DRRS team.

Objective

MAS graduates embody holistic skill sets that relate science, engineering, design, art, embodied practices, and inner processes to complex, real-world challenges. They are empowered to navigate complexity and build inner and outer resilience. They acquire a mature and applicable understanding of regeneration, become critical systems thinkers and systemic designers, and hold the inner tools to design for regeneration. With the thesis, the participants manifest their concrete, tangible project, tailored to their individual learning journey and professional as well as private and personal context. They demonstrate the ability to understand systemic design as a challenge-based navigation process between different types of inquiry, incorporate the relational value of methods and practices, and acquire an ability for organic emergence, all in the specific theme of the DRRS programme. The popular science article is one outlet to practice and reflect on sharing a complex systems design endeavour with the interested public.

Content

We will mentor the final production of the thesis and the article with its various content elements of scientific writing, graphical expression, tangible place-specific inclusion, and self-reflection.
