Objective

Understand and apply the laser principle to select and use the suitable laser manufacturing technique for a given application.

- Fundamentals of Laser: laser principle, continuous and pulsed laser generation - Optics applied to laser light: ray optics, wave optics, quantum optics - Laser interaction with matter: EM absorption, polarization, plasma - Laser applications in manufacturing: laser sources, design of optics, in situ monitoring systems
