Abstract
The lecture provides a practice-oriented overview of fundamental theories and concepts of science education.
Objective
Students acquire fundamental knowledge: - About conveying scientific concepts in formal, informal, and non-formal educational contexts. - For the theory-based selection, preparation, and reflection of relevant scientific educational content for educational processes. - To plan science education based on evidence along with competency development models. - To discuss scientific teaching contexts in terms of their societal, future, and scientific relevance.
Content
The focus is on approaches such as Conceptual Change in the sciences, the conveyance of the Nature of Science, the acquisition of modeling competencies, Embodied Cognition, Didactic Reconstruction, and gender-equitable science education.
