Abstract

Introduction to organic chemistry

Objective

Developing understanding of basci principles of organic chemistry

Content

Structure, nomenclature, properties and reactivity of the most important organic compounds (Hydrocarbons, Halogenated derivatives, Alcohols, Amines, Carbonyl compounds) Reaction mechanisms: SN1- and SN2-reactions, electrophilic aromatic subtitutions, eliminations (E1 and E2), addition reactions (C=C and C=O double bonds). Chemistry of carbonyl and carboxyl groups. Stereochemistry.
