Abstract

On the one hand, P2-IV consists of an elaborate semester project, that is presented at a project presentation event at the end of the semester. On the other hand, there are short chemistry projects in parallel, which are among others closely coordinated with Materials Synthesis II, and physics experiments on e.g. metal physics and solid state physics. One is related to PSI (incl. visit).

Objective

To impart basic knowledge and experimental competence using selected examples from chemistry, physics and metal physics. First acquisition of independent scientific-technical skills. Presenting a poster about the topic of one of the experiments.

Content

Projekt: Semester langes Konstruktionsprojekt (Gruppenarbeit). Chemistry IV: "Lecture coordinated project based Praktikum" (Innovedum Project); project work coordinated with the inorganic part of the Chemistry IV lecture. Details see: Link Physics II: Experiment in the field of nonlinear optics and one computer experiment in the field of mesoscopic systems (incl. a visit of the PSI in Villingen) Metal physics I: Metallography/light microscophy; mechanical characterization.

Erfolgreiche Teilnahme an allen Versuchen. Bedingungen dafür (u.a.): Angemessene Versuchsvorbereitungen, wie sie im jeweiligen Versuchsskript verlangt werden; des Weiteren mindestens eine einseitige Versuchseinführung im Laborjournal (vor Versuchsbeginn anzufertigen) und ein akzeptabel geführtes Laborjournal. Alle Berichts- und Korrektureinreichungen müssen jeweils innerhalb von zwei Wochen nach Versuchsende auf der Praktikumswebseite hochgeladen worden sein.Angemessene zeitliche und inhaltliche Beteiligung in der Projektgruppe am Gelingen des Semesterprojekts und an der Abschlusspräsentation des Semesterprojekts.
