Content

The course provides an overview of bone biology including cellular mechanism, metabolism and mechanoregulation. The acquired knowledge is applied to clinically-relevant topics such as skeletal development, osteoporosis and fracture healing. For each topic, we will share examples from our research and clinical experience combined with interactive sessions. Two site visits will provide insight into translational aspects concerning implant design (tba) and surgical application (OR-X, Translational Center for Surgery, Balgrist University Hospital).
