Abstract

Advanced theoretical methods for analyzing quantum many-body systems will be reviewed. We will discuss equilibrium Green's functions, Keldysh formalism for nonequilibrium phenomena, variational approaches. Specific models that will be considered include systems with dissipation, polarons, interacting electrons, electron-phonon systems, transport in mesoscopic systems, superconductivity, cavity QED

Objective

Introduce advanced theoretical methods for analyzing quantum many-body systems including Green’s functions and variational approaches.
