Abstract

Railway technology; interaction between track and vehicles; stress; track construction including features of railway bridges and tunnels; starting up; track diagnostics and forcast; track maintenance and related methods

Objective

The lecture gives a deeper insight into railway technology, the interaction between track and vehicles as well as in construction and dimensioning of the track. Methods for starting up and the diagnosis of the state of the track and its forcast are shown. State-of-the-art maintenance strategies and technologies are presented.
