Content
The lecture gives an overview of the philosophical currents of the present within the framework of "western" philosophy, such as pragmatism, analytical philosophy of mind, analytical philosophy of language, phenomenology, critical theory, deconstructivism, new materialism, etc. It places them in relation to developments in physics, biology and other empirical sciences. The influence of the empirical sciences on philosophy has been serious since the 19th century: Darwinism, Einstein's theory of space and time, Quantum mechanics have forced philosophy to undergo fundamental revisions. The lecture provides insights into these revision processes.
