Abstract

The goal is to deepen the knowledge gained in the lecture "Krebs: Grundlagen, Ursachen, Therapie". Students get insights in the methods of cancer research, with the focus on applications in cancer therapy. Selected topics will be monoclonal antibodies, kinase inhibitors, epigenetic regulators and genetically modified immune cells.

Objective

Students understand selected topic of translational cancer research. They gain insights into the methodology of modern cancer research.

Content

Introduction into translational cancer research, presentation of selected topics of current translational cancer research, overview of literature competence for the preparation of own presentations.
