Abstract

Einführung in die Wahrscheinlichkeitsrechnung und Statistik

Objective

Probability: - Introduction to the abstract probabilistic concepts, using the formalism of Measure Theory: random variables, expectation, independance... - Develop a probabilistic intuituition: understand the connection between the abstract definitions of the objects and how we can think of them. Why is a random variable is a good way to describe a coin flip? - Fundamental results in probability: Law of large numbers, central limit theorems. Statistics: - Introduction to fundamental questions and methods in statistics: how to extract informations from randomly produced datas? - Estimation of paramters, confidence intervals. - Test.
