Abstract

On the "Excursions in the World Food System", the students in food science expand and deepen the theoretical contents of the first two study semesters and relate them to practice along the food value chains.

Objective

Students - expand and deepen topics from the lectures "World Food System", "Cultivated Plants in the World Food System", "Farm Animal Science in the World Food System", "Agricultural Economics in the World Food System" as well as "Diversity of Algae and Fungi" in practice; - independently acquire knowledge on a given excursion topic using preparatory materials before the excursion; - formulate questions for the excursion leader and excursion participants and discuss them with them and among themselves; - give feedback on the excursions visited.

Content

Several one-day excursions are offered, which cover different topics of food science studies. Topic-specific learning objectives are formulated for each excursion.

Nach speziellem Programm und mit separater Anmeldung. Besucht werden drei Exkursionen mit dazugehörender Vor- und Nachbereitung. Die Exkursionen finden in der Regel freitags während des Semesters statt (7.00-18.00), während der vorlesungsfreien Zeit sind auch andere Tage möglich.
