Abstract
Development, transformation and impact of spatial planning in the social, political and institutional environment with references to the international debate. Development of Swiss spatial planning movement in the 1930s and institutionalisation in the 1960s and 1970s. Challenges since the first Spatial Planning Act 1979. Links to spatial planning in Germany.
Objective
Learning the history of ideas of spatial planning as well as the current and future significant questions of spatial development.
