Abstract
The athletics level 2 course focuses on methodological and didactic aspects of disciplines taught in the level 1 course. Pole vault is introduced as a new and additional discipline. Central elements required for passing the course don’t include skill assessments or athletic performance tests but rather didactical contributions.
Objective
The level II courses focus on methodological concepts and didactics. The goal is to learn how to teach the specific sport at high school level. The didactical aspects are often conveyed through new skills and elements. It is not required to have passed the level I course, but it is mandatory to have attended it previously.

- Specific warm-up for athletics - Core elements of all disciplines - Acquiring of technical pole vault skills - Learning how to support an athlete during pole vaulting - Keys to a successful baton handoff - Written assignment on a movement observation task - How to modulate intensity with task variations - Developing feedback skills

Sports Practice (The scientific prerequisite for obtaining the teaching diploma in sports for high schools is a university Master's degree in sport, movement, health or other natural sciences with a sufficient basis in exercise and sports science. In addition, practical requirements (sports practice) of 46 CP are necessary. These can be obtained partly within the Bachelor's and Master's programme.)
