Abstract
Using modern methods, students will draw a geologic map and profiles so that post-collisional magmatic and metamorphic processes in the crust can be understood.
Objective
Students learn how to draw a geologic map and geologic profiles using modern digital methods, how to take representative rock samples, and, how the combination of geologic mapping and profiles leads to the understanding of the processes that shape the continental crust.
Content
Geologic mapping - Digital mapping; Sampling; post-collisional magmatic processes, high-grade metamorphism and migmatization.
