Abstract

Differential and integral calculus for functions of one and several variables; vector analysis; ordinary differential equations of first and of higher order, systems of ordinary differential equations; power series. The mathematical methods are applied in a large number of examples from mechanics, physics and other areas which are basic to engineering.

Objective

Introduction to the mathematical foundations of engineering sciences, as far as concerning differential and integral calculus.

Eine Zusammenfassung der Vorlesung auf bis zu 4 A4 Seiten (2 Blätter beidseitig oder 4 Blätter einseitig); die Formelsammlung "Formeln, Tabellen, Begriffe" (dt/fr/it/en); ein Wörterbuch für fremdsprachige Studierende.
Das rechtzeitige Lösen und Abgeben von Bonusaufgaben wird mit einem Notenbonus von bis zu 0.25 Notenpunkten belohnt. Für den maximalen Notenbonus müssen 9 der 12 Bonusaufgaben korrekt bearbeitet und reichtzeitig abgegeben werden. Weitere Details werden im Moodle zur Vorlesung gelistet.

Groups are selected in myStudies. Die Übungen beginnen in der zweiten Semesterwoche. Fr 10-12 oder Fr 12-14 gemäss Gruppeneinteilung. Zusätzlich wird das Study Center angeboten: Mittwochs 18-20 ab der 3. Semesterwoche im HG F 1, wo die Möglichkeit des betreuten Lernens angeboten wird. Im Study Center können Studierende Vorlesungsstoff vor- oder nachbereiten und Übungen lösen.
