Abstract
This course gives a first introduction to Physics. During the winter term (Physics I) emphasis is given to classical mechnics, up to Newtons' theory of gravitation, with a short introduction to Special Relativity. During the summer term (Physics II) topics such as oscillations, waves and Thermodynamics are discussed.

Elektrostatik, Feldbegriff, Elektrische Ströme, Magnetfelder stationärer Ströme, Lorentz-Kraft, Magnetisierung der Materie, zeitlich veränderliche Magnetfelder. Schwingungssys-teme mit einem oder mehreren Freiheitsgraden, Resonanzphänomene, Mechanische und elektromagnetische Wellen, Wellen in periodischen Strukturen, Optik, Interferenz und Beugung
