Abstract
Reading and interpretation of geological maps.
Objective
All participants are able to: - Read and understand complex geological maps; - Assess, select, and project information from real case studies; - Make tectonic overview sketches and construct meaningfull cross-sections;
Content
Advanced analysis of geological maps and construction of geological sections. Special points: normal faults of the Rheintal graben, Val de Ruz, Helvetic nappes of the Säntis area. Reconstruction of the geological history of the map areas. References to the Geology of Switzerland.
