Abstract

The offer Strategic Career Development has the goal to support students in the development and alignment of their personal & professional goals. Orientation, Goal setting, action plan development, motivation letter, CV, interview trainingWe will include high level external guest speakers

Objective

We will discuss and develop answers to the following questions: What do I want to achieve in my life? Why is it to important to define goals? What decision criteria can I use as a guide? How do potential career paths look like? What are the possibilities? How does the life cycle of a career look like? What are the alternatives? How do I increase my chances of success/reaching my goals? How did others do it? What kind of advice can experienced captains of industry give? Why is a periodic check of my goals and my progress necessary?

In today`s world of everything is possible it becomes an every increasing challenge to find orientation, to define a goal for which it is worth to work for with focus and energy. But this is exactly what is so important in today`s work environment. Only with a definite goal one can decide if the taken path is right, one can develop enough motivation to go beyond the comfort zone. With a definite goal, one increases the chances of success of one`s education and career. The earlier one has defined what he/she wants to achieve, the bigger the effect.
