Abstract
Introduction to resource economics, monetary evaluation of forest services, protection provided by forests and risk, problems of resource use and sustainability, economics of non-renewable resources, renewable resources, case studies, and discussion of selected examples.
Objective
The goal of resource economics lectures is to familiarise students with economic models and concepts which opti-mise use of resources over a long period of time (generations).
Content
Ökonomische Modelle und Konzepte zum optimalen und nachhaltigen Ressourcenverbrauch. Einführung in die Ressourcenökonomie, Monetäre Bewertung von Gütern und der Dienstleistungen des Waldes, Methodik zur Erfassung und Bewertung von Schutzleistungen einschliesslich Risiko, Probleme der Ressourcennutzung und Nachhaltigkeit, Ökonomie nicht-erneuerbarer Ressourcen , Ökonomie erneuerbarer Ressourcen und Anwendungsbeispiele. Diskussion ausgewählter Politikfragen.
