Abstract
This course is thematically oriented to the Analysis II lecture for students of D-MATL and deals with problems that arise in the concrete application of calculus. The aim is to demonstrate the ''usefulness'' of calculus and to encourage experimentation with calculus objects so that students acquire a flexible, non-template way of working at an early stage.
Objective
Students are able to, - acquire an appropriate and confident way of working, - to recognise the significance of the topics of Analysis II for materials science in a very concrete way, - to check their understanding of calculus and to promote it in a targeted manner.
