Objective

Dear Students Thank you for your interest in the 3D Modeling and 360 Degree, Reality to Virtuality electives offered by the Department of Architecture & Art. We have merged the two electives above to ensure you have the best possible input on the field of 3D scanning, possible digital rendering methods to printing. Therefore, we ask that you enroll in both electives. 052-0524-22 360 Reality to Virtuality from 12 to 2 p.m. 052-0522-22 3D Scanning and Freeform Modeling from 2 to 4 p.m. The overall theme in FS22 is Meet & Eat. We will always meet at 12 noon either at our professorship HIL F 46 or at a snack bar each week on a rotating basis. This snack bar will be the starting point of our respective places of data collection and 3D documentation. The collected data will be processed in the following week at the professorship. You will receive more detailed info about the individual meeting points on the first elective day. On 21.2.2022 we will meet in HIL F 46.1 at 12 o'clock for a common meal (vegetarian) at the long wooden table. This will be prepared for you by the team. If someone of you eats vegan, please let us know in advance, so that we can find a solution. After the meal we will dive into the topic and the first techniques of the elective. For this, simple digital cameras like the ones in your smartphones are sufficient. If you are individually interested, we will dive into more advanced techniques of 3D Modeling & 3D Prints as well as Virtual Reality with Oculus Quest 2 & Gravety Sketch during the course of the semester. So, please sign up for both classes right now: Monday from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Show up at the professorship on Monday 2/21/2022 / 12pm with an appetite.
