Abstract

The FS 2022 elective course "Topology" concludes a series that has explored landscape theoretically and physically. From different perspectives of perception and supported by examples from art, literature and history, we will embark on a terrain to be shaped by our own thoughts and actions.

Objective

This elective gives students the opportunity to expand their knowledge in the area of landscape architecture.

Content

The FS 2022 elective course "Topology" concludes a series that has explored landscape theoretically and physically. So far, we have gotten lost in labyrinths, created new trajectories off the beaten path, taken detours, mapped our mental covid landscapes, and synchronized our bodily movements with those of the landscape. With this collection of knowledge and experience, we launch the finale, "Action! Landscape." From different perspectives of perception and supported by examples from art, literature and history, we will again embark on a terrain to be shaped by our own thoughts and actions. Three thematic blocks will be offered, among others on questions of perception, boundaries and movement. Various actions in the outdoor space will be deepened by selected texts and discussions.
