Abstract
In this lecture, basic terms of computer science are introduced. Emphasis is given on the Internet, WWW and Computer networks. Text processing is done with LaTeX, spread sheets are treated with Excel. Much emphasis is given to the introduction and efficient usage of MATLAB, a powerful tool for computational science.
Objective
Lernen, einen PC als persönliches Arbeitsmittel effizient einzusetzen. Kenntnisse der spezifischen Werkzeuge Matlab, LaTeX, Excel.
Content
1. Der Computer als informationsverarbeitende Maschine: Digitale Speicherung und Bearbeitung von Informationen. 2. Grundlagen: Prozessor, Speicher, Systemsoftware, Rechnernetze 3. Textverarbeitung, Tabellenkalkulation, graphische Datenverarbeitung 4. Wissenschaftliches Rechnen: Einführung in das computergestützte Rechnen mit Matlab.
